Every layer of the cocoa pod and the coffee cherry matches a step in the EUDR record. What is biology in the field is a signed event in the platform.
Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 requires proof that every lot comes from land not deforested after 31 December 2020. Without that proof, the container stays in the port.
Polygons per farm for plots larger than 4 hectares. Georeferenced points for smaller ones. Without this, the lot is not traceable and does not enter the EU.
Any clearing on the plot after that date invalidates the origin. Verification runs against public satellite imagery, not against statements.
The EU operator files one due diligence statement per shipment in TRACES NT, with a reference number. Without a valid DDS, there is no customs clearance.
